The eBook revolution is here and is changing the way people read books. There are lots of self-published and independent authors, like me, who are utilizing this technology to offer low-priced and free titles. As a reader, you don't need to purchase an eReader to build your digital library. The four major eReaders--Amazon's Kindle, Barnes and Noble's NOOK, Kobo, and Sony's eReaders--have apps you can download for your PC, Mac, smartphone, and tablet, all for free!

For a while Amazon has had a 4-for-3 promotion on books and some other items. Essentially, when a customer orders 4 eligible items, the lowest-priced item is free. (For official details and conditions, click here.) There are literally hundreds of thousands of books in this promotion. Seven of my books are included in this promotion (they are listed below).

Good news, everyone!
I have a short-short published in 140 And Counting published by Upper Rubber Boot. It is an anthology of poetry and fiction from Seven By Twenty magazine, a Twitter-based e-zine. Basically the work inside the anthology are 140 characters or less -- long enough to fit in a tweet. This is a great collection to read while on the go, which makes it perfect to add to your e-reader collection. It is available for the Kindle

This Christmas, Joyce and her husband Scott did something new. They invited Cory over for Christmas dinner. Cory had been in Scott and Joyce’s life for two years, but the three only met during other festive occasions. Such as a threesome, or Cory and Scott alone together, or with Joyce watching.
This Christmas, Cory wasn’t able to fly home for the holidays. The first time since Joyce and Scott knew him that Cory was a “holiday orphan.” That’s wh...

Read my short story "Pass the Cheese Puffs" in ZOUCH Magazine. It is sort of an ode to one of my favorite TV shows, The Simpsons.

The Poets Are Dead? No, they aren't. Sure, some poets are dead, but there are still plenty living poets out there (ahem, I'm one). However, for many people in the world, poetry only exists as words written by dead guys they were forced to read and interpret in high school and college. (I could get into my thoughts on the subject, but I suggest reading Billy Collins's poem "Introduction to Poetry.")
But poetry goes beyond that. If we take time to observe,...

Good news! My short story "Becoming Historic" appears in issue 5.3 of Black Magnolias Literary Journal. My story is a short sci-fi piece about a man who uses time travel as a short cut to change his future. Print copies of the magazine are available here.
